April 03, 2008 Tallmadge, OH

Dear Cate,
Blessings to you today. My sister Judy has suffered most, for Mom's passing. Her birthday, and in May, her first anniversary of going to heaven. I see it as you do, thank God, she is honored and with HIM.

How lovely you made your warm rocker in the warm summer sound. I could just picture this. Have you considered a ramp for your Mom, over the steps, or to the side? Can your Mom use a walker and does she exercise her legs with those large rubber bands?

I am so glad you wrote me about your update from your fall. My sister is bothered so much from the Fibromyalga as you! From what you write to me, I think you and my sister Judy suffers much more than I. She has so much joint pain and swelling. It kills me to see her suffer. If your stern talk to yourself helps, I will get you and my sis together, so you can tough talk to her!

I do not need the larger than normal type, thanks. My eye is just about normal again. I am neglecting it some, so you know I am better.

When the sun is out, and no wind, I am inclined to want to leave the coat behind. I know from experience, this is not wise.

I have a small dishwasher. I do them about once a week. I clean them, stack in washer, then run. Only one person doesn't dirty much.

Our Mother repeated things over and again. Also...this is so cute and funny, she would ask my sister, after breakfast...honey...is there anything to eat in this house, I am starving!

How did the appointments go for you and your Mom? Did April 1st help you any? You were speaking of watching your grandchildren, and you were tired and cranky the next few days. This is how I am when I have the company for a few days. I almost feel so tired, I am angry. Just talking all that time, and cooking. I am alone, and I am the worse for it, I fear. I have gotten used to my quiet and order. Small things...I notice. Things out of place, that sort of thing. Not a nice quality in myself, but age comes with mind set. Ha.

I normally get flowers for myself every week or two for my bedroom. I truly love flowers indoors. I don't go outside much, and I don't have the energy to water them. This last summer, I had someone plant for me, then it was so dry, I was out watering. It grew thin. Not planting any flowers this year, just freshen up the mulch.

God bless and touch you today with His love and comfort for your body.
Love, Barbara
